I wanted to take a moment to spread the word about a great event for a worthy organization. Native Sun had the privilege of working with the staff at Sulzbacher Center when they were our GreenApples Charity of the Month in December 2008. We also took the opportunity to cook, prepare and serve dinner to the many homeless men, women and children that Sulzbacher helps. Click here for pictures. It was a humbling, eye opening experience and one that I think greatly impacted all who volunteered.
On Saturday, March 28 Sulzbacher is hosting the “Walk a Mile in their Shoes” 5K run and 1-mile walk to raise money for their services for the homeless. This is a great cause and a healthy, fun way to show your support! Click here to register online.
I’m also excited that 1st Place Sports has teamed up with Sulzbacher to host the race. They are so great when working with us for our annual Native Sun Mandarin Run each November. This year they topped off their race donations for a solid $1000 to support Camp JADA!
