Raymur Rachels, a Native Sun shopper and parent at St. Mark’s Episcopal Day School, helped organize a screening of FRESH at her child’s school for 6:45pm on Wednesday, September 23 and kindly invited Native Sun Owner Aaron Gottlieb for a Q&A following the film. We are very excited to see this film for the first time ourselves and welcome all of you to join us!

FRESH is a film by Sofia Joanes celebrating the farmers, thinkers and business people across America who are re-inventing our food system. Among several main characters, FRESH features urban farmer and activist Will Allen, a 2008 MacArthur’s “Genius Award” fellow; sustainable farmer and entrepreneur Joel Salatin, made famous by Michael Pollan’s book “The Omnivores Dilemma”; and supermarket owner David Ball, who is creating a new market model for our family farmers. FRESH’s focus on these inspiring individuals and their initiatives provides the audience with actionable solutions. FRESH is a call to action.
