Come celebrate Earth Day the Native Way this Saturday at Baymeadows!
FREE Beer Samples from Bold City Brewery, 11am – 3pm
Bold City will be sampling two beers on Saturday. Must be 21 & up to enjoy!
Mad Manatee IPA – This American IPA is a different soul from the reincarnated IPA style. More flavorful than the withering English IPA, color can range from very pale golden to reddish amber. Hops are typically American with a big herbal and/or citric character, bitterness is high as well. Moderate to medium bodied with a balancing malt backbone.
1901 Red Ale – This is not your standard Red Ale. This is a very ‘malty’, ‘roasty’ and complex Red Ale. The roasted flavor comes from the high presence of roasted barley. With a very minimal but high alpha hop addition, this Red Ale has become a favorite among patrons.
Native & Uncommon Plant Sale, 11am – 3pm
Leslie with Native & Uncommon Plants is back this year with a variety of plants which help gardeners restore local habitats by using eco-friendly species and plants to attract butterflies, humming birds and more. She will also have native blueberries, persimmon, mulberry, herbs and more. The environmental reasons for gardening with native plants are positive and compelling. Native plant gardens:
- Increase and promote biodiversity
- Provide habitat for a wide variety of creatures such as birds and butterflies
- Provide a home for many native plants that are becoming increasingly rare in the wild
- Conserve water
- Eliminate the need for chemical inputs such as pesticides, herbicides and fertilizer
