In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day, Native Sun Natural Foods Market & the UNF Environmental Center invite you to enjoy for a FREE Screening the documentary “No Impact Man” about author Colin Beavan’s year-long quest to create virtually no impact on the environment this Thursday, April 22 at UNF in Building 15, Room 1304 at 8pm.
From the documentary’s website: “A guilty New York liberal decides to practice what he preaches for one year. Turns off the electricity, stops making garbage, gives up TV, taxis and take out, and becomes a walking, bicycling, composting, tree hugging, polar bear saving, local food-eating citizen – all while taking his baby daughter & caffeine loving retail-obsessed, television-addicted wife along with him.”
This film was an official selection at the 2009 Sundance, Los Angeles and Silverdocs Film Festivals and called “Terrifically entertaining. Compelling and extremely funny,” by Betsy Sharkey of the Los Angeles Times.
Doors open at 7:45pm. No tickets necessary.
