Collecting Donations to Help the Oil Spill

On April 20, 2010 an offshore drilling rig called Deepwater Horizon exploded and sank off the coast of Louisiana. The resulting oil spill is has threatened various birds and marine mammals and put hundreds of miles of coastline in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida under imminent threat.

One of our produce vendors, Global Organic Specialty Source, Inc., is working with the Save Our Seabirds Foundation, a Sarasota-based bird rescue group working with the Coast Guard to get help to the areas along the Gulf that were first impacted, but they need your help!

Global Organic has offered to pick up and deliver donated items from our staff and customers to help in the relief efforts.
